About

Hi, I am Kriti Jalihal
A Product Designer

Most of my work lives in high-stakes, high-complexity environments - medical devices, clinical workflows, regulated design processes. I've spent the past few years learning that good healthcare design isn't about polish, it's about reducing the chance of a bad outcome: fewer steps, clearer signals, safer defaults. I work closely with engineers to turn ambiguous requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and systems that hold up when it matters.

Interests

Use Related Risk Analysis, FTA, FMEA, UX Audits

Design for Risk Mitigation

Identifying failure points before they reach patients, using structured risk analysis to catch what standard design reviews miss.

Usability Engineering and Testing

Human Factors & Usability Design

Designing and testing interactions against real clinical conditions, not ideal ones, so devices hold up under pressure, fatigue, and time constraints.

WCAG Guidelines, Responsive Design

Design for Accessibility

Building for legibility and ease of use across ability, device, and environment, from touch targets to color contrast, especially where users can't afford to misread a screen.
