Overview

Overview

Fetal Lite is a pregnancy monitoring device built by InnAccel Technologies, deployed as part of a remote-monitoring study with AIIMS Patna and the Gates Foundation. It connects specialist doctors to pregnant mothers in district hospitals that lack on-site obstetric expertise - streaming vitals in real time through an AI algorithm that flags risk, helping doctors decide remotely whether a mother needs referral or an emergency C-section.

Problem

The existing doctor-facing dashboard suffered from visual clutter, split attention, condensed graph spacing, and inconsistent color use - the wrong conditions for a doctor trying to make a fast, high-stakes referral or C-section decision from a distance.

Solution

I led the dashboard redesign and UX audit, rebuilding the information hierarchy around clinical decision-making - adding interval-wise analysis summaries, moving analysis status onto the graph itself, color-coding exceptions and live annotations, and improving touch targets, contrast, and typography for real clinical conditions. The result: a responsive, accessible dashboard and a reusable design system, ready for dev handover.
