Overview
Transforming the gaming platform to deliver a more immersive, seamless, and social experience.
Padma Vitals is a wearable vitals monitoring patch used in general wards to track post-surgical patients 24/7 after ICU transfer. Developed for Cardiac Design Labs, this project reimagined the clinical workflow between nurses, doctors, and the product to drive real hospital adoption.
Problem
Field research revealed a monitoring visibility gap, fragmented workflows forcing nurses to constantly switch context, cognitive overload during shifts that deprioritized critical alerts, and a system that didn't match real hospital behavior - frictions that added up to time, frustration, and lower adoption.
Solution
I led service and system design alongside dashboard and app UI, restructuring the workflow around bedside information logging, a clear alert hierarchy, a portable gateway, and reduced reliance on memory. The redesign combined the phone app, central monitor dashboard, and physical product into one coherent system built for real ward conditions.
